Women's National Cup

Lara Stalder and her teammates defeated HC Fribourg-Gottéron 5-3 in the final game earlier this afternoon.

To determine this year's winner of the Women's National Cup, a Final-4 weekend was held at the Vaudoise aréna in Lausanne. After winning their respective semifinals yesterday, EV Zug and HC Fribourg-Gottéron met today in the final. Down 2-0 after the first period, Lara Stalder made it even for EV Zug during the second period, which however ended with Fribourg still leading. In the decisive third period, EV Zug erased the deficit and scored two more goals to make it 5-3. Stalder scored a hat-trick and added two assists.

The small final, valid for the third place, was won by the HC Ambrì-Piotta Girls, who defeated 7-2 the HC Davos Ladies.
