To react to the injuries of Vanessa Ryhner and Nina Harju, EV Zug has acquired the services of Noemi Neubauerová in a "win-win situation" as head coach Daniela Diaz explains: "Noemi will bring a breath of fresh air and new power to our team and she will get match practice until she goes to North America." Whereas Rhyner will be sidelined long-term, Harju injured her foot while playing for the national team and is expected to miss the start of the season.

Neubauerová spent the last season with Brynäs IF in the SDHL, before which she played in the NCAA for Colgate University and Providence College while studying in the USA. The 24-year-old won bronze at the 2022 and 2023 World Championships with the Czech national team.
