Lea MacLeod played college hockey in Canada until the end of the 2022-23 season. Last season, she suited up for ERC Ingolstadt, recording 14 goals and 20 assists in 21 games. She is the fourth import player under contract with SC Bern - the fifth if one counts Slovakian Viktoria Maskalova who has a Swiss players' license.

Some players have also decided to leave the capital city: Alexandra Lehmann, Marie-Pierre Pélissou, Sarah Forster, Stefanie Marty, Jade Surdez, Ophélie Ryser, and Jenna Suokko are all no longer part of SC Bern's roster. The same applies to assistant coach Petra Melicherikova.
