As the ZSC Lions announced earlier today, their women's team has gained two new members, both 22 years old. Kristi Shashkina (Estonia) joins from Istanbul BBSK, where she won the Turkish championship twice in a row. During the 2020-21 season, the forward had already suited up for the Lions.
Kira Juodikis (Canada) joins from the NCAA's University of New Hampshire, where she spent the last four seasons. Prior to that, she played for the Southwest Wildcats in the Provincial WHL.
"Kira Juodikis brings leadership qualities both on and off the ice. She is a scorer and playmaker with a high hockey IQ", the Lions' team manager Christine Meier notes. "Kristi Shashkina will strengthen our team with her powerful shot; she is also a scorer.
Both players are well-sized for the newly introduced physical play."
