Vanessa Ryhner will become a mother for the first time in spring 2026. Even before the start of the PostFinance Women's League championship in mid-September, the Swiss forward decided not to suit up for the EV Zug Frauen this season. She will contribute with statistics and by being behind the bench during home games.

“We are very happy for Vanessa and her husband Dominik,” states EV Zug's head coach Daniela Diaz. "We want to support Vanessa as best we can during her pregnancy and are delighted that she will remain with us in a different role as a team member during this time."
