As EV Zug announces, they have signed Alina Marti from the ZSC Lions Frauen to a contract valid for the coming season. The Bulls will be the third organization for the 20-year-old, having grown up playing for SC Langenthal and eventually moving to the Lions.
"Alina's skills and attitude make her a perfect fit for our team", her future head coach Daniela Diaz states. "She brings a lot of speed and scoring qualities and has a very good understanding of the game."
In 173 games for Zurich in the PostFinance Women's League, 20-year-old Marti has scored 58 goals and 90 assists. She won the Swiss championship three times and the Swiss Cup once with the Lions.
"I chose EVZ because the enthusiasm for women's hockey in Zug is something very special", Marti herself notes. "In addition, I see the ideal conditions for my personal development in Zug."
In 2021, Marti won the SWHL A (W) swisshockeynews Breakout Performance award.
