Following the acquisition of Laurent Dauphin from the Laval Rocket, another forward leaves the National League to return to North America: Martin Frk has agreed to terms with the Calgary Flames. The 30-year-old has signed a one-year two-way deal with the team from Alberta, meaning that he will likely mainly play for the Calgary Wranglers in the AHL.

This past season, Frk suited up in eleven games for SC Bern collecting seven points. He then joined the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers for the remainder of the season, recording nine points in 22 games.
