The 18-year-old defenseman will join the Hershey Bears for the remainder of the season. The Washington Capitals reassigned him today.

Leon Muggli will, however, not yet suit up for the AHL team this weekend. The defenseman is under contract with the Caps but was loaned to EV Zug for the 2024-25 season. As the National League team has been ousted from the playoffs, the defenseman will now get the opportunity to extend the season in North America.
Muggli, who was selected 52nd overall in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft, recorded five goals and six assists in 40 regular-season games for EV Zug.
