Junior Leagues

Elia Baumann, Mathéo Michel, Léon Buff, and Arhip Akhmedov have all been picked to play in the second-tier junior league.

HC Davos junior Elia Baumann was selected 44th overall by the Bismarck Bobcats. The 20-year-old forward played for the club's U21 team last season and made his National League debut. Defenseman Mathéo Michel, who plays for EHC Biel’s U21 team, was also drafted by the same organization, 223rd overall.

19-year-old forward Léon Buff was selected 85th overall by the Minnesota Mallards. Buff stems from the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers’ youth department and played for the Utah Outliers in the National Collegiate Development Conference last season.

The last Swiss player drafted was defenseman Arhip Akhmedov. The Swiss-Ukrainian dual citizen was part of EHC Kloten's system until 2023. Since then, he has played in various junior leagues in North America. He was selected 397th overall by New Hampshire.
