The Swiss goaltender wins the traditional season-ending tournament with his team, the Kitchener Rangers.

The Memorial Cup is a tournament in which the three winners of the Canadian junior leagues (WHL, QMJHL, OHL) and a host team compete. This year, Christian Kirsch and the Rangers managed to secure the trophy.
In the final of the tournament, the Rangers were able to beat the Everett Silvertips 6-2. They won the trophy for the third time in their history. Kirsch showed a strong performance in the final, stopping 30 of the 32 shots he faced.
