Swiss Ice Hockey irritated by National League proposal

Last week, it was reported that the National League has sweeping ideas for the Swiss League's future. After the four Swiss League semifinalists had already released a statement following that, Swiss Ice Hockey has now also put out an answer. The federation is not very pleased with what the National League clubs proposed.

They write that the proposal would only benefit professional hockey and the National League clubs, without anyone else in mind. It would also lead to a practically closed league. The threat of creating a separate U23 league if the proposal were rejected also created irritation on the federation's side.
