Despite having a contract that runs through 2027, the 35-year-old forward has no future with HC Fribourg-Gottéron

Despite his contract running through 2027, Killian Mottet has no future with HC Fribourg-Gottéron—a situation that has not changed even after Attilio Biasca’s departure to the NHL. Last season, the forward was loaned to HC Ajoie. A return to the Jura-based club cannot be ruled out, but it does not appear to be a priority at this time.

Now, there is reportedly interest in the experienced forward from the Swiss League. According to the newspaper “"Walliser Bote",” Chris McSorley, coach and team manager of HC Sierre, has inquired with HCFG's team manager, Gerd Zenhäusern. Mottet, a native of Valais, previously played on loan for the Valais-based club between 2009 and 2011. In addition to Sierre, HC La Chaux-de-Fonds is also said to have contacted Zenhäusern.

In 52 regular-season games on loan to HC Ajoie, he contributed 20 points (ten goals). He also played four games (no points) in the playout final.
