As HC Sierre announced earlier today, Josh Lawrence will no longer be part of them. The Canadian's deal has been terminated by mutual agreement. He joined the Swiss League team from EHC Winterthur last summer.
In his stead, Sierre has signed a new Canadian - Samuel Houde. A former fifth-round pick by Montreal, the forward has been playing in the organization of the Pittsburgh Penguins since 2021, albeit only in the AHL and the ECHL. Available to suit up starting January 18, it will be the first time playing outside of North America for the 24-year-old. His contract is valid until 2026.
