Swiss League

The 58-year-old will return to Denmark this summer after his contract with the Swiss League team is done.

After a three-year break from club coaching, Heinz Ehlers signed on to become EHC Visp's new head coach in 2023. With his contract expiring once the current season is over, the Dane has decided to head home. "I will continue to work with full vigor and meticulousness in the current season, with the aim of ending my time at EHC Visp on a high note", he is cited on the club's website.

This means that Visp is in need of a new head coach. "We are looking for a suitable personality who shares our long-term strategy and values and who fits in well with our culture", team manager Daniele Marghitola notes. "We will take the necessary time to find a sustainable solution."

Visp is number six on Ehlers' list of Swiss employers as a coach.
