The two latest acquisitions will bring to HC La Chaux-de-Fonds a mix of experience and promise: defender Joel Scheidegger, 29, has put his signature on a three-year deal, while forward Noah Böhler, 21, put pen to paper on a two-year contract.
Joel Scheidegger is currently part of HC Ajoie's roster and has already collected more than 375 games in Switzerland's top two leagues. A target of HCC's Loic Burkhalter for a while, the team manager has finally managed to get him on board: “I'd been keen to bring Joel Scheidegger to La Chaux-de-Fonds for some time. He's a solid defender, capable of making excellent first passes and adding value to our team"
For his part, Noah Böhler is in his second full season with the GCK Lions. HC La Chaux-de-Fonds expects energy and creativity from Böhler: "Noah is a young, versatile center who can also play on the wing. We watched him a lot last year in the finals and really appreciated his game. We're delighted that he's joining us to bring his energy and vivacity" states Burkhalter.
This season so far, Scheidegger collected two assists in 15 games with HC Ajoie, while Böhler scored one goal and recorded five assists in 22 games with the GCK Lions.
