Fabio Hollenstein's future is not yet clear

Fabio Hollenstein worked as the Head of Fanzone Zürich at the World Championship this past half year, as he has been working for the agency responsible for the organization for the past three years. As he tells the "Thurgauer Zeitung", this helped him to accept HCT's decision.

"Working at the World Championship helped me get over the huge disappointment. It would have been much harder to accept HC Thurgau’s decision if I hadn’t been able to focus entirely on the World Championships after we were eliminated from the playoffs.”

Whether he will continue to play is not yet clear. It will, however, definitely no longer be on the professional level: "In the Swiss League, I definitely won’t sign with any club other than HCT." Hollenstein recorded nine goals and two assists in 49 games for HCT last season. He had been with the team for eight seasons (six under contract, two on a loan basis).
