As the "Oltner Tagblatt" reports, the contract negotitations between Eliot Antonietti and EHC Olten were not easy but it looks like a solution was found. If everything goes according to plan, the captain should be able to stay with the Mice.
Silvan Wyss, on the other hand, might currently play his last season with EHC Olten or maybe even his last season of his professional hockey player altogether. Wyss and EHC Olten had talks, but the offer did not match the expectation of the defenseman: "I am very disappointed about the offer which was extended to me. [...] CHF 65,000 per year is not enough."
He adds that he was even more disappointed about the way the negotiations were handled: "After I rejected their offer, which was less favorable [than my current deal], the negotiations were declared over and the offer was withdrawn."
While he would like to stay with the team, he will not do so at any given prize as he has to provide for his family, as he states. If nothing else comes to fruition, he will thus likely end his career as a professional hockey player. If it were to come to that, he would, however, have his next job already lined up: he and his sister are in the real estate business.
