EHC Basel’s promotion request denied, long-term vision remains intact

The National League Licensing Commission ruled that while EHC Basel meets many sporting, organizational, and infrastructural requirements, the club’s current economic foundation is not yet sufficient for a potential promotion to the National League for the coming 2026-27 season.

The Chairman of the Board, Michael Milos, emphasized the positive dialogue with the commission, stating: “We had a constructive exchange with the Licensing Commission and will address the points discussed in our further development and be in a better position when we submit our next application.”
