EHC Basel extends with Gianluca Barbei

A member of EHC Basel since the beginning of the current season, Gianluca Barbei was able to convince the management to offer him an extension. Since the 2020-21 season, Barbei has always moved to a different club at the end of the season, but now with this extension, he has found stable ground. "I feel a lot of confidence, I've settled in really well and I'm sure that we can achieve a lot together" states Barbei.

This season thus far, Barbei scored eight goals and put up 14 assists in 38 games with EHC Basel. This makes him the third most prolific Swiss forward in the team.
