Swiss League
While the Swiss League team is not in a playoff spot at the moment, EHC Basel has decided to sign the 42-year-old head coach to an early contract extension.

Eric Himelfarb has agreed to a one-year deal, valid until the end of the 2026-27 season. The Swiss Canadian has been coaching the Swiss League team since the end of 2022.
As for team manager Kevin Schläpfer, he, too, will not leave the team at this point in time. Schläpfer's contract has been confirmed. Schläpfer has been with Basel since the 2023-24 season.
