The Swiss League team announced on their Instagram that the three players would join them effective immediately. Aaro Törmänen was under contract with HC Ambrì-Piotta last season but suited up for the Bellinzona Rockets, recording two goals and four assists in 33 regular-season games.

Gianluca Barbei, for his part, played for HC La Chaux-de-Fonds. In 43 games for them, he put up three goals and five assists. Andreas Tschudi was the only one not playing in the Swiss League last season, recording eight goals and nine assists in 25 games for EHC Arosa.

As for Nick Meile, "Blick" reported earlier this week that the defenseman of SC Bern would play for HC Lugano this season. This seems now to be confirmed by EHC Basel statement.
