Citizens of Sierre approve arena project

"The last six months were very long and today we've taken a huge step forward in getting Sierre back into the National League and allow the young Valaisan players to stay in the Valais," Chris McSorley told "Le Nouvelliste" after the result was out.

They will now get to continue the planning process for the new arena which is planned to have a capacity of 6,500. The new building is estimated to cost CHF 89 millions and, if everything goes according to plan, supposed to be finish in 2029/2030.
