Earlier today, EHC Arosa announced the signing of Dominik Volejnicek. Coming back from France, the forward is joining the Swiss League squad on a deal valid for the coming season. It includes an out-clause in case a chance in a higher league presents itself.
Volejnicek grew up within EV Zug's organization. He made it all the way to the men's squad, appearing in 18 National League games between 2015 and 2020. Normally, he would suit up for the Academy, though. In 2020, two seasons with Lausanne HC - mostly loaned to HC La Chaux-de-Fonds and HC Sierre - followed, before committing to the latter until 2025. A short adventure with Agnlet in the Ligue Magnus was next, but now, the 27-year-old is back in Switzerland.
Overall, Volejnicek stands at 358 games in the Swiss League, with 77 goals and 98 assists to his name.
