The former longtime player and coach of various teams around Switzerland has died at the age of 77.

"La Liberté" informs that Paul-André Cadieux has passed away. Born in Canada on June 25, 1947, he came to Switzerland in 1970 to play for and coach SC Bern. Over the years, Cadieux toured the country and was a member of various teams, on the ice as well as behind the bench and in other functions.

In 1990, Cadieux made his one and only game for the Swiss national team, as a 42-year-old.

He will forever remain a member of the Swiss Hockey Hall of Fame.
