ZSC Lions fire Marco Bayer

The ZSC Lions are looking for a new head coach. Marco Bayer, who took over from Marc Crawford in December of 2024, has been let go, following a season of ups and downs and an early exit in the semifinal.

"I would like to sincerely thank Marco for his excellent collaboration and congratulate him once again on the two titles - the league championship and the Champions Hockey League -that he won with us last year", team manager Sven Leuenberger states.

In contrast to Bayer, assistants Fabio Schwarz and Andreas Lilja, as well as goalie coach Magnus Wennström and athletic coach Mattia Stendahl, are sticking around.
