Harrison Schreiber will move from EHC Kloten to the ZSC Lions, Joel Henry will go the opposite way. As the press release reveals, the trade was made possible due to the fact that both players are at the end of their contracts and would not have received contract extensions from their respective teams.
24-year-old Schreiber played his first professional games for EHC Kloten and was part of the team which was promoted to the National League in 2022. He has recorded five points (two goals) in 35 games and will reinforce the Lions until the end of the season.
“Harrison brings a physical element that is valuable for the playoffs. I see him as a key piece of the puzzle for our game,” said ZSC's team manager Sven Leuenberger.
22-year old Henry, for his part, has been part of the Lions' organization since 2018 and made his National League debut in the 2023-24 season. Last season, he was part of the team which won the championship as well as the Champions Hockey League.
He has appeared in 22 games for the ZSC Lions and in 29 games for the GCK Lions (32 points) this season. He, too, will reinforce Kloten until the end of the current season.
