National League

The free-access regional TV station of the Gassmann Group will show 14 regular-season games and one game per playoff day, with the priority going to EHC Biel.

The rights acquired by TeleBielingue for the next three seasons cover the whole of the French-speaking part of Switzerland, meaning that only games involving French-speaking teams will be shown with particular emphasis on broadcasting as many EHC Biel games as possible. Additionally, highlights of all games will be displayed on TeleBielingue from 10.30 pm. TeleBielingue thus joins La Télé and Léman Bleu as broadcasters in the region.

"In our joint proposal with MySports, the holder of the National League rights, we have selected five games from each of the French-speaking teams in the regions concerned (EHC Biel, HC Fribourg-Gottéron, Genève-Servette HC and Lausanne HC), including some derbies, as well as two games of HC Ajoie," explains Kevin Gander, Managing Director of the Gassmann Group. Financially, Gander states that they are looking for national sponsors to support the operation.

Recently, MySports announced the closing of their studios in Rossens, and laid off all employees working for the French-language channel. Apparently, a Lausanne-based company - La Prod TV - is to manage the production of all French-language broadcast and game commentaries. During games involving EHC Biel, the Gassmann Group will send a local journalist and/or Biel expert to the studio.
