SC Bern will undergo organizational restructuring in May 2026, strengthening both its sporting and commercial divisions. The main changes are that Simon Moser will become the new team manager of the first team, and Pascal Signer will become the new Chief Hockey Officer (CHO), while Martin Plüss will remain sporting director.

As SC Bern explains, the changes aim to create clear responsibilities, strengthen sporting development in the long term, and meet the increasing demands in terms of infrastructure, youth development, and competitive sports.

Simon Moser, the freshly-retired forward, will take up the position of team manager at the beginning of May 2026. In this role, he will gradually be introduced to the organizational responsibilities of National League game operations. Moser will work under sporting director Martin Plüss, who will continue to have the final say in all matters relating to the sporting direction of SC Bern and the management of the National League division. As a consequence, the club is ending its collaboration with Diego Piceci.

As for Pascal Signer, the current Chief Operations Officer (COO) and Deputy CEO, is moving to the sports division and taking on the newly created role of CHO. In this role, he will be responsible for the organizational, personnel, and structural management of the sports division. In addition to the National League and Future, he will also be responsible for the women's division.
