Head coach Johan Lundskog has agreed to a two-year contract extension and will thus stay with the Lakers until the end of the 2026-27 season. The Swede has been coaching the National League team since mid-December when he replaced Stefan Hedlund.
Gunnarsson, for his part, will also stay on as an assistant coach. His contract had an option for an additional season, which the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers have decided to activate.
Valkama joined the Lakers last season and has one year left on his contract as a goaltending coach, but the National League team decided to sign him to an early contract extension. He will now stay with the Lakers until 2027.
