His suspension running out next week, the forward will join the Bears starting February 18. He had signed a two-year deal back in November already.

As SC Bern informed today, they have acquired the services of Miro Aaltonen - earlier than initially planned. Set to join the National League team in summer, he will now do so on February 18 already. His substance-abuse related suspension is coming to an end the day before.

Before his one-month absence, the Finn had played for EHC Kloten for two-and-a-half years. His deal with them was terminated once news of the suspension broke.

"Since the one-month suspension would not have affected his employment contract with SC Bern from May 1, 2025, he would have joined the team as planned at that time", Bern's CEO Marc Lüthi states. "However, after careful consideration, we have decided to add Miro to our team now for various reasons."
