Nomen omen - The ZSC Lions sign Chase De Leo until the end of the season

In order to replace long-term injured Latvian forward Rudolfs Balcers and as a reinforcement for the Champions Hockey League, the ZSC Lions have hired Chase De Leo. De Leo is a versatile player who spent most of his career in the AHL. The Lions now have eight imports under contract.

This season, his first outside North America, he suited up for nine games with Barys Astana in the KHL without collecting a single point. His contract was then terminated by the Kazakh club. In the AHL he scored 143 goals and put up 222 assists in 527 games.
