The National League team has dissolved the contract of the Swedish defenseman, which was supposed to be valid until the end of the 2025-26 season.

Niklas Hansson has been with EV Zug since 2021 and recorded over 40 points in the regular season in his first year with the Bulls. After that, he never came close to that record again, also due to injuries.
Last season, the Swede appeared in 41 regular-season games for EV Zug, recording two goals and 20 assists. On average, he was on the ice for 21:32 minutes, only Lukas Bengtsson had more ice time in the regular season than Hansson.
