HC Fribourg-Gottéron's title defense mission will kick off on September 15, with a game versus EHC Biel (in Biel). The two A-clubs, HC Ajoie and HC Ambrì-Piotta, are facing off against each other. Mountains and hills will see who comes out on top when HC Davos hosts the SCL Tigers, and the financial capital and the political capital battle each other in ZSC Lions versus SC Bern.

HC Lugano and Genève-Servette duel about who has the prettier lake, while Lausanne HC is trying to hold off EV Zug's Bulls. Last but not least, the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers and EHC Kloten aim to find out who is the better Zurich suburb.

Throughout the season, there are the usual international breaks in November, December, and February. A total of 18 full rounds will be held.

With the season ending on March 1, playins start three days later, and proper playoffs kick off on March 13.
