Back with HC Lugano since 2023, Lorenzo Canonica's initial contract was due to expire this spring. As the club now announces, they have signed the young forward to an extension, valid until 2027.

"Lorenzo is growing into a solid National League player capable of playing whatever situation in which he is employed by the coaching staff", team manager Hnat Domenichelli notes. "We are convinced that he will be able to continue his development and carve out an increasingly important role for himself with the Lugano of the future."

Since returning to the Bianconeri from his stint in the QMJHL, Canonica has suited up 41 times, recording one goal and three assists.

"I am very happy to continue wearing the Hockey Club Lugano jersey and to grow more and more within this group", the 21-year-old states. "I will, as always, give my best while wearing our colors."
