Kloten and Miro Aaltonen terminate contract

Yesterday, it was revealed that Miro Aaltonen had possibly violated the anti-doping rules and was provisionally suspended. After a conversation between the forward and his club, EHC Kloten, it was mutually agreed that it would be best to terminate their contract.

"I would like to formally apologize to our fans, my teammates, and the entire club and its employees", Aaltonen is cited. "It was important for me to accept the consequences of my actions."

How this matter will affect the Finn's future contract with SC Bern remains to be seen.
