HV71 has announced the early departure of Jamiro Reber to the Dragons. "Jamiro wants to return home to Switzerland to be closer to his family, and we have found a solution with Fribourg-Gotteron", HV71's assistant general manager Fredrik Stillman notes. Later in the afternoon, HC Fribourg-Gottéron confirmed his arrival.

Reber had joined the SHL team's youth department in 2023 and was promoted to the main team the following season. He concludes his Swedish adventure with thirteen goals and nine assists in 75 games.

"I have had some great years at HV71 and owe a lot to the club for my development, but for some time now I have felt that I want to be closer to my family and settle in Switzerland", the 19-year-old states. "It has been fantastic to play in front of all the fans at Husqvarna Garden, and I want to thank them for all their support and the wonderful experiences I have had during my years in Jönköping."
