HC Ajoie's Julien Vauclair denies rumors of being in contact with HC Lugano

The Gazzetta del Ticino reported on Sunday that they heard rumblings that Julien Vauclair might become HC Lugano's next team manager. "Blick" and the "Neue Zürcher Zeitung" echoed that report. However, Vauclair told "Blick" today that he is not in contact with the Bianconeri: "I have a two-year contract with HC Ajoie and am not in contact with HC Lugano."

HC Ajoie also issued a statement about the subject matter, confirming that they are contractually bound to their team manager until the end of the 2025-26 season and that Vauclair assured them that he had not been contacted by other teams. They also added that they will start talking to Greg Ireland and Petteri Nummelin about their future soon. The two coaches have also been the subject of rumors over the last few days.
