HC Ajoie hires Greg Ireland, acquires Pierre-Edouard Bellemare

Greg Ireland will thus succeed Christian Wohlwend as head coach of HC Ajoie. He has agreed to a contract, valid until the end of the current season. Ireland last coached in Switzerland in the 2018-19 season, when he was head coach of HC Lugano.

Pierre-Edouard Bellemare, for his part, last played for the Seattle Kraken. The 39-year-old forward has appeared in over 700 NHL games for the Philadelphia Flyers, the Vegas Golden Knights, the Colorado Avalanche, and the Tampa Bay Lightning. Last season, he recorded four goals and three assists in 40 games. He, too, will stay in Porrentruy until the end of the season.
