GSHC loans Eric Schneller and Jason Akeson to HIFK, Brassard injured

According to "Blick", HIFk will be reinforced by Eric Schneller and Jason Akeson for the Spengler Cup. Genève-Servette HC has given them the go-ahead to play in the traditional tournament.

Eric Schneller has appeared in 25 games for the Grenats this season, recording two goals and two assists. The 20-year-old defenseman will be joined by Jason Akeson, who has yet to play a single game this season. He is still waiting for his Swiss passport. 

In other news, Derick Brassard will not play again before the end of the year. The forward suffered a lower-body injury in the game against the SCL Tigers. Sakari Manninen, on the other hand, might be able to make his comeback.
