Genève-Servette confirms signing of Langnau's Stéphane Charlin

A month ago, "Watson"'s Klaus Zaugg first wrote about the possibility of Stéphane Charlin returning to Genève-Servette HC. As it turns out, that is indeed the case. Today, the Grenats announced that they signed the goaltender - a member of the SCL Tigers at the moment - to a deal valid until 2028.

"We are delighted that Stéphane, our own junior, is coming home", team manager Marc Gautschi states. "He has progressed very well over the last few seasons and has become one of the best goalkeepers in the league. Our strategy has therefore turned out to be the right one, and we are convinced that with him we will be able to achieve long-term success."

Charlin grew up playing for Servette and made his National League debut for them in 2019. Over the next few seasons, he was often loaned to other teams, and eventually signed with Langnau in 2023 after already suiting up for them before that.

At this point of the current season, the 24-year-old is the statistically best netminder in the National League (among those who have played at least a full game).
