As the "Tribune de Genève" reports, Genève-Servette HC and Teemu Hartikainen have yet to start talking regarding a potential contract extension. However, first talks are supposed to take place in November.
"If he plays like he currently does, there are not many clubs in Europe that would not want him," Marc Gautschi, team manager of GSHC, tells the newspaper. "I don't think he will go to another club in Switzerland. We will see if he wants to return to Finland."
Hartikainen himself seems in no hurry to make a decision. He says that his only goal for the moment is to win another title in Switzerland and that he does not yet know what he will do next year.
Hartikainen has recorded ten goals and seven assists in 10 games for the Grenats this season. On average, he is on the ice for 18:59 minutes per game.
