A few days after Austin Czarnik's departure at the end of the season was announced, SC Bern released a press statement informing that they acquired Miro Aaltonen's services for the next two seasons. Thus, SC Bern has six imports under contract next year: goalie Adam Reideborn, defender Anton Lindholm, and forwards Victor Ejdsell, Dominik Kahun, Waltteri Merelä, and Miro Aaltonen.

“With Miro Aaltonen, a top center joins our club. I see him as a complete player who can make the difference in decisive moments,” states SCB's team manager Patrik Bärtschi.

Aaltonen joined EHC Kloten from the KHL in 2022 and ever since he suited up 126 times with them, scoring 43 goals and collecting 56 assists. This season, he already found the back of the net 15 times and is on pace for setting new best personal marks in goals and total points. He has won 45.8% of the faceoffs he has taken so far.
