Klaus Zaugg ("Watson") reported last week that Ricardo Schödler, team manager of EHC Kloten, was looking into acquiring Davide Fadani. Kloten has now signed the 23-year-old goaltender to a two-year contract, running through 2027. Fadani has appeared in two games for HC Ambrì-Piotta and 14 for the GDT Bellinzona Rockets this season.
Ewan Huet, too, will join Kloten after his return from the Regina Pats next summer. The 19-year-old goaltender has appeared in seven games for the WHL team (.875 save percentage). He has agreed to a two-year contract with EHC Kloten. Both Huet and Fadani will also have B-licenses, so that they can play for their partner team HC Thurgau.
Sandro Zurkirchen, for his part, will have to leave the National League team after this season. The goaltender has been with the team since the 2022-23 season and was part of the team that led the club back into the National League. This season, he has appeared in eleven games, posting a .931 save percentage.
