With the exception of the pandemic-related loss in the 2020-21 financial year, Zug has always generated a yearly profit in recent years, but not in this past season.

In the 2024-25 financial year, the EVZ Group generated total revenue of CHF 34,377,362. However, the rapid elimination in the playoff quarter-finals led to a negative financial result. The club closed the 2024-25 financial year with an annual loss of CHF 352,348. This negative financial result shows how important a good sporting performance continues to be for the company, EV Zug writes in their press release.

Patrick Lengwiler, CEO of EV Zug: "We will continue to be strongly challenged in our management to critically scrutinize all expenses, reduce costs, and increase income. The next few years during the construction work on the expanded arena will be very challenging for us from a business perspective."
