It was a rumor and now it is reality: after leaving Lausanne HC, Jiří Sekáč has agreed to terms with HC Lugano. The Czech becomes the sixth import under contract in the upcoming season with the Bianconeri, who also have one import defender and four more forwards.
Team manager Hnat Domenichelli praises Sekáč's two-way game: "Jiří is a forward who can play well in both the defensive and offensive phases. He is a strong player on the athletic level. His technical and physical characteristics meet the profile of a forward we need".
Last season, Sekáč collected 25 points (eight goals) in 43 regular season games with Lausanne HC, to which he added eleven points (six goals) in 19 playoff games.
