The possibility of a return has been floating around ever since he entered free agency in North America in July, and now it is official. Dominik Kubalik will grace HC Ambrì-Piotta with his presence once more. Club and player have agreed to a one-year deal. It includes an out-clause until December 15 in case the Czech lands a spot with an NHL organization before that.
Kubalik's first stint with the Biancoblù between 2017 and 2019 saw him record 37 goals and 60 assists in 90 games. It was enough to earn a contract with the Chicago Blackhawks. After three years with them, he added one each with the Detroit Red Wings and the Ottawa Senators.
