Despite offer from North America - Thürkauf stays with HC Lugano

The decision of HC Lugano's captain has finally arrived: Thürkauf will not move to North America and will thus stay with the Bianconeri.

The fans of HC Lugano can rejoice as their captain and top-scorer of the past season, Calvin Thürkauf, will play for the Bianconeri also in the upcoming season. Given his strong performance during the 2023-24 season, Thürkauf raised the interest of the NHL, however, despite an offer, he decided to stay in Switzerland.

This past season, the 26-year-old forward, who has a contract until 2029 with HCL, finished second in the National League scorer standings and led all Swiss players in goals and assists with 28 and 32 respectively.
