As HC Davos announced today, forward Filip Zadina is joining them for the coming two seasons. The Czech was last playing for the NHL's San Jose Sharks, his first station away from the organization that initially drafted him, the Detroit Red Wings.
“Despite his young age, Filip has a lot of experience and offensive qualities”, team manager Jan Alston states. “He is still very young and has not yet reached his full potential. Filip will be one of seven foreigners in the squad. This will give the coaching staff more options to send the best team onto the ice in every game.”
Selected sixth overall in 2018, 24-year-old Zadina has made 262 games in the NHL (41 goals, 50 assists) and 87 in the AHL (28 goals, 27 assists). Before being drafted, he spent one season with the Halifax Mooseheads in the QMJHL. His youth was spent with HC Dynamo Pardubice.
