Chris Tierney is joining HC Ambrì-Piotta. Previously a member of Dinamo Minsk (KHL), the forward has signed a one-year deal, which includes an option for a second year. He is import number four on the Biancoblù's roster for the coming season, joining his fellow Canadian Chris (DiDomenico) on offense.

Growing up playing junior hockey in his home country, Tierney was selected 55th overall by the San Jose Sharks in the 2012 NHL entry draft. After the Sharks, he played for Ottawa, Florida, Montreal, and New Jersey, before heading off to Minsk last summer.

In a total of 689 NHL games, Tierney recorded 85 goals and 175 assists. As part of Dinamo, the 30-year-old played 71 games, collecting twelve goals and 16 assists.
