The Swiss national team has finished their preparations for the 2024 IIHF World Championship. Following that, some adjustments have been made, and the provisional roster for the tournament now stands.
Defensemen David Aebischer, Iñaki Baragano, Dominik Egli, Tobias Geisser, and Samuel Kreis were all cut, the same goes for forwards Tino Kessler, Mike Künzle, Marco Lehmann, Tyler Moy, and Tanner Richard.
In their stead, Dean Kukan, Christian Marti, and Andrea Glauser, as well as Sven Andrighetto, Ken Jäger, and Nino Niederreiter have been added.
For netminder Akira Schmid, defender Sven Jung, plus forwards Thierry Bader and Jäger, it will be the first time at a World Championship.
As for Roman Josi, his participation is presumed and expected.
